Hello!  My name is Amanda.  First of all I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit my website.  I have been helping animals my whole life and decided a few years ago that I needed to do more.   I am a veterinarian and wanted to find a way to share my thoughts, experience, knowledge, and love for our four-legged friends.  I feel so fortunate because as a veterinarian I can provide the level of care that matches my love and passion for animals.

This website is set up to give as much information as possible to animal lovers who find themselves in a wide variety of situations.  Those visiting this site will be able to search for the perfect new family member; search tips and articles that I find helpful and relevant to pet owners (never a substitute for taking your pet to the veterinarian); links to toys and other pet products; stories and pictures of events and successful placements and much more as time allows.  There is a great deal of information on the internet today.  I know first hand that some of this information can be very misleading and sometimes confusing.  I am excited to share what I find to be important, concise and easy to understand. 

I will sometimes give my opinion because of my great passion and interest in providing the best care for animals.  Part of my interest in creating this website was having the ability to share that opinion as well as giving others more to think about when making decisions for their own animals.  Regardless of how you weigh in on certain topics and controversies I still think you will find many interesting stories, articles etc on this site.  Having an open mind and listening to other points of view never hurt anyone.
