Donald W. Savoie, owner of Savoie Consulting, has over 18 years of experience in development, event planning and communications. He has also designed and utilized databases to create marketing efforts, solicit gifts and track membership solicitations.

In the course of his experience, Savoie has lived in Los Angeles, Boston and San Francisco, and has worked with various types of nonprofit organizations, such as chambers of commerce, cultural institutions, arts organizations, AIDS-service organizations, environmental coalitions, and alumni groups.

In addition to his professional work with boards, Savoie has also held volunteer leadership positions, such as president of the Westside Council of Chambers of Commerce, and vice president of the Penn State Alumni Association-Los Angeles Chapter. He also served on the board of the Foundation for Educational Research, a nonprofit organization that provides grants to AIDS-related educational organizations. Savoie currently serves as treasurer of the Golden Gate Business Association.

As a professional event planner, Savoie has organized large events such as gala dinners, pledge events, street parties, music festivals, business expos, and parades.

Savoie received his Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Penn State University and also attended the Institute for Organizational Management, a professional development program offered by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and UCLA.
