I wrote the script, recorded the narration and offered some creative guidance for the following introductory animations for a local professional networking startup.

Marketing Copy, Campaign & Collateral
My biggest freelance project to date was a multimedia, three month campaign for Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Waterbury, CT. It was comprised of two print ad campaigns and a radio campaign spread out over three months. The end result was the largest, most successful enrollment period to date for the school.

This was a promotional campaign I put together for a former employer promoting a Pink Martini concert and post-show meet & greet. I also did the majority of the event coordination, including securing food and drink sponsors and the venue.

The majority of the last three years have been spent writing and assembling marketing collateral for independent brokers and financial advisors. The following are a few examples of different types of collateral. I wrote all the copy and conceptualized layout for most of them.

I edited two different editions (national and regional) of a physician's financial planning guide.

Corporate Newsletter Content
I edited and wrote the content for more than 24 monthly issues of my company's monthly newsletter. Typically I wrote at least three pieces for each issue: an interview, a feature story and short piece on marketing tips and tricks. The newsletter started as a 4-6 page portrait-style piece designed for printing. About a year in we changed it to an 8-10 page landscape-oriented interactive PDF format.

SEO Copy
To keep my skills sharp I have written some freelance pieces for Textbroker and eCopywriters. Almost everything they commission is SEO copy, and it requires a fairly strict word count. So it's as much fitting together a jigsaw puzzle as it is writing. The following examples are three pieces I wrote for Textbroker, the first required the inclusion of the code referencing the keywords and linkwords.

Beyond the SEO copy, I have written copy for other online ventures. Some of them aren't scheduled to launch until Q1 2010, but I will add them once they're up and running. In the meantime, here are some samples of pages I've written for. (All links are offsite.)
