2005 I graduated CSUH with a Philosophy BA and Minor in Creative Writing. I must have looked confused my last quarter because my professor came up to me and said “you know you don’t have to do anything, I lived in the mountains, traveled, and meditated in Tibet for ten years before coming back to the United States to teach.” I am paraphrasing of course, but when I was told this, all had been relieved, but could I do all that traveling (a woman, alone, from middle class)? I stayed at my job as manager of a small indoor rock climbing facility and worked as a substitute teacher until 2007 when my BFF (best friend forever) said, and I emphasize, “you should travel!” So I did, for a year, and here is where I went...
September - December 2007 New Zealand (Tiptop of South Island).
January - March 2008 Australia
(taken from top of Mt. Arapiles).
April - June 2008 India (streets of Agra)/Nepal (Thorong-la Pass Annapurna Tail).
July - September 2008 UK (London Eye)/Germany/Italy (Castle of Portovenere)/France.
October 2008 through June 2009 I lived in Victoria, BC (my home town) helping my family, then I moved to Bishop, California where my heart lives. (View from Bishop Pass toward Bishop, CA).
Other various adventures usually involving climbing trips, hitch hiking, or riding Grey Hound buses! Here are more photos...
