What’s my next move

I love what iWeb can do. It makes things very easy, and the ability to drag and drop your entire interface, is awesome.

However, that same point about the dragging and dropping the WHOLE interface, is a bit of annoyance as well. Especially when it comes to the blogging portion. Having to change things around, visually, every time you make a post, gets pretty annoying after awhile.

I’m thinking I want a more “standardized” blogging platform. I’ve researched a lot of options. From desktop applications, to web publishing options. Even combinations of the two. I have a few requirements, which is going to lead me to a very specific set-up, me thinks. I’m pretty sure I want to use RapidWeaver as my primary publishing platform. I’ve used it before, and then switched back over iWeb just under a year ago. RapidWeaver just has more standard blogging options, which are either not possible in iWeb, or attainable, but require a pain-in-the-butt workaround.

I really want to be mobile too. I found this great utility, called RapidBlog, which sync’s your RapidWeaver blog, with a Google Blogger account. The cool thing about that, is Google Blogger allows for mobile blogging via email. So, I can keep my sweet RapidWeaver interface, but still have the flexibility of blogging from my cell phone.

Anyone have experience with a set-up like this, or any suggestions?

This past weekend, my band had a weekend of shows set up, starting in Savannah, GA, and ending in Baltimore, MD. We played in Savannah with our buddies in A Girl A Gun A Ghost, and after the show, started to make our way to Waldorf, MD for the next show. About 8 hours into the drive to Waldorf, we get into a horrific van accident, that totals our van, and sends 3 of us to the hospital. Luckily, we all are alive, and none of us are permanently injured.

Hitchens Vs. Hitchens

I am a big fan of Christopher Hitchens. There’s a lot that can be said about him, positive and negative, but I love him. He is incredibly intelligent, and a master of the spoken word.

His brother...Peter, as similar as he is to Christopher in mannerisms, and speaking ability, he is the polar opposite in terms of belief, and world view.

This debate, although not their first ever, will most certainly be there last. It’s just over an hour long, and is worth watching every second.

I’m going to philly today for the tattoo convention. My vocalist works for Pinz and Needlez tattoo & piercing shop, and they have a booth there. I’m going to be tattoo by Stevie Monie, who does really great work.

So, I have a web gallery set up, which me and the friends I’m going with will be sending photo updates to alllll day. We’re going up to philly early to enjoy the weather and get some eats.

RockStar: Juiced

I just wanted to say, that I love RockStar Juiced (the Orange can). It’s delicious. I don’t like very many energy drinks, and sometimes, I don’t really want a “full fledged” energy drink. Juiced makes me feel like I’m being half good, because it’s half fruit juice. See what I did there?

Why I decided to blog about this...I do not know. I’m running out of things to blog on, that won’t disturb the shit out of people.

I’ve had a few of my friends tell me about these guys, that go around trying to recruit kids to sell their “goods”. Things like, food, and detergent...

Well, yesterday, whilst at lunch, I saw one of these guys. He was chit-chatting with a young dude, who was all smiles for what he was being told. It seemed very noticeable, from the outside looking in, that if was a shady situation. From the guys Target™ computer bag, to his Compaq™ Laptop, complete with a terribly constructed PowerPoint to illustrate his deal.

I kinda wanted to ask him what kinda scam he was offering, but I decided to just hope the kid wised up, and recognized the scam.

So, how is everyone doing? Good? Good.

I, however, could stand a vacation.

My house is filled with pictures of my family when I was a baby. I get choked up just walking upstairs to my room. I keep thinking about innocence, and ignorance, and how blissfully dull those times were.

I’m in now, what I’m sure I will look back on as, one of the worst times of my life. And, when things seem to be at rock bottom, it gets worse. Oh joyous life, please bring me some form of good news so that I might not hate you as much as I do.

This sounds really generic...and lame. I should probably buy some eye-liner and start a LiveJournal account.
