April 2008 was an exciting month! I left a place that I dedicated over 10 years of my life and began a new journey at Spinal Care Chiropractic.
As I look back, I remember in 1999 starting mat classes upstairs in the lounge with 8 people and carpet square samples. (true story) People told me that the WAC would never purchase pilates equipment. We ended up with 6 reformers, a chair, barrels lots of foam rollers and flex rings. Not bad, but my dreams haven’t stopped. At the end of this year, we will be moving into our own 2,000 square foot Pilates and Yoga studio! Here’s a pic of the space- lots of windows!
I am loving the new chocolate brown reformers and the capuchino walls at the new studio. A few steps away is a massage therapist and acupuncture. Cold water is always available and a peaceful environment. Unfortunately, you’re stuck with my bad conversation about last night’s reality shows. But I will guarantee you a good workout.
This view is taken from the side wall where we will have our reformers, towers, chairs and cardio equipment. The group class area for mat pilates, yoga and ball classes will be in front of the windows. I’m anxious to get back to teaching group classes. I have really missed it.
I am grateful that I have met and worked with so many wonderful people and they were willing to experience the benefits of pilates. It has been joyful and rewarding to see the changes in everyone.
We will be starting Mat pilates and Yoga Classes the week of November 10th! I’ll be teaching Yoga Mondays at 12 and mat on Thursdays at 6 pm. No sign up is needed, and we provide mats.
Namaste!
