Whatcha Talking Bout...

Dhati started this thing with the girls a couple of years ago...when they say we don’t quite get, he stops and says, ‘can i ask you a question?’ Then, he breaks out in song, “Whatcha talking bout, oo!” Weird, but comical for our family. So, this is our ‘whatcha talking bout page.’

The house looked really cute. Where did DJ go? It was a little too quiet. Upon further investigation....DJ was in the dining room on the table. He had already eaten the fence and was then working on the roof. Yum!

Today is Christmas Eve--Trinity woke up before anyone else and said, ‘I have the best plan for today.’ She went on to say that we should sing Christmas songs, then open a special present and stay at home all day long so that she can play with that special present. Once everyone else got up, and she knew it would be ok to ask again, she just started sining, ‘Jingle Bells...” Her plan was in action. :)

Snow Day

We finally got to see snow! It was really only ice, but since we are coming from Texas, where it never snows, we called the ice stuff ‘snow’ and went out into the weather to build a ‘snowman.’ School was cancelled. Trinity woke up about 8am (which would have been an hour late for regular times). I had to convince her that we were not over-sleeping, but that there was no school that day. She asked me several times, does this mean that none of my friends are going to school either?
We went outside after breakfast for a walk in the winter wonderland outside. Watching DJ walk was the greatest--he didn’t know why he kept slipping and with each little slip, he would look at me with an ‘opps’ look on his face.
We called our friends and remarked about the snow--them being from further north, thought we were so silly to call this snow. They were not impressed with the 1/2 inch of ice on the ground, but we were amazed!
