We want to share with you some of our experiences, thoughts and feelings about the 218th General Assembly in San Jose, California, this past June.

Five of us were there for you.  We are (from left to right)  Norma Wible, a ruling elder; Jim Miller, a minister of word and sacrament; Jodi Schmidt, a ruling elder; Dave Koch, a minister of word and sacrament; and Liz Miller, our Young Adult Advisory Delegate.  (That’s the new name, by the way, for what was called Youth Advisory Delegate.  They’re older and wiser now - at least not younger than 18).

We all had to wear those blue name tags so we could get into the area of the auditorium were we had our assigned seats.  No blue name tag; no admittance to the voting area.  We use those little black key pads in the picture to vote and everyone had a laptop computer to follow the information, overtures, vote results, committee reports and worship liturgies.  We worshiped daily, sometimes in the Assembly hall and sometimes elsewhere.

We want YOU to respond and share your thoughts and feelings, too.  We all have important work to decide our church’s direction for the future!
