Instructors:
We will continue to update this for 2011:
Most information below is for NHS.
NHSN updates will be added as we get them.
This year, the PSAT is ONLY offered on Wednesday morning, Oct. 12. There is no Saturday test through either Norman high school. If they miss the test on Wednesday, there are no make-ups.
Freshman exams are paid for by the school district. NHS Students will need to check Student Services South and Student Services North on Monday October 10 for testing room assignments. Since NPS is paying for all freshmen, they are automatically registered. Registration for Sophomores and Juniors will started on Tuesday, September 7th and will run through Friday September 30. The cost is $20.
Administration is still working on a final decision about lunch that day since the test has to be taken in one sitting. The NHS sophomores and juniors will probably be tested in the 200 hallway and the library. Not sure yet about other area schools yet.
It is a pretty long test -- about 2 hours and 45 minutes -- and everyone has to be dismissed at once. We will start as close to 9:00 as we can, and we will probably have a late lunch for those students taking the test. It looks like NHS may possibly switch lunches between freshmen and upperclassmen on that day- Administration is still working out the details of this.
Updated information will be posted in your high school offices as far as testing rooms and those assigned to the rooms. Information for NHS will be posted outside Student Services North and Student Services South. All questions, comments, concerns can be addressed to Catey Moring,
