Our church is all about serving. If you have a need, physical or spiritual, please feel free to post a comment, or send us an e-mail. We would love to help out.

You can now click on “ArkALMIGHTY” to go to a new website and see if we have someone with a need, or skill that you could use.

Our Community Kids program (Children’s ministry time during adult Sunday School hour) is also working to help out an area ministry providing pillow cases and pillows for children who are in need. If you know of anything we should do to help out, please just drop us a line, or post a comment.

I have heard two stories in the last ten days that amazed me. One story was from a best selling author. The other was from a person who started a church. Both said the same thing. They said that they grew up in churches and learned nothing about Jesus.

I would want to make sure that if you come to Daleville Christian Church or you visit this web site, you will learn something about Jesus.

There is one thing better than knowing ABOUT Jesus and that is to know Jesus. You CAN know Jesus Christ--the light of the world, merciful savior, savior of the world, died for your sins, gives you a new life, speaks with you and is with you. . Jesus. . Yes, that one. I taught several week's ago one of the most effective prayers in the Bible:
six words: "Jesus Christ, have mercy on me."

You pray that prayer. Memorize that prayer. Listen for Jesus' response to your prayer. Look for Jesus' response to your prayer.

What/Who/Why Believe?

*What do we believe?
We believe there are two things God asks of every person...students included. We read in Genesis 1:26, "Then God said, "Let us make a man--someone like ourselves, to be the master of all life upon the earth and in the skies and in the seas." (TLB)

We see that God created man in HIS image...like Him. The first thing God wants is to have a personal relationship with YOU.

The second thing we see from this verse is that God wants us to "rule" our lives and all we have control over in a way that is pleasing to Him.

We can only do this by having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, letting Christ be the Lord, the "boss" in our life and asking God to help us live for Him and not for ourselves.

The Bible says you need to be a Christian, a follower of Christ

*Why do I need to be a follower of Christ? I am a good person. "as it is written, there is none righteous, not even one." (Romans 3:10) Sin, the things we do wrong, separates us from God. No matter how good we are, we can never be good enough to come to God.

*OK, so I'm not perfect. What's wrong with that? Why do I need Jesus in my life? "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23) Christ promises us eternal life with him...eternity with Him in heaven after we die. he also promises to give us direction in this life. Without Christ, not only does life lack purpose, but we are also doomed to an eternity without Him...in hell.

*So God sends people He doesn't like to hell? What kind of God is that? "But God demonstrates His love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:12) No, God does not send anybody to hell. Hell is a consequence of sin, but God sent Jesus Christ to earth to live as a man and pay the penalty for our sin. He made the way for YOU to have a personal relationship with Him.

*Yeah, but don't "all paths lead to heaven"? "Jesus said to him, I am THE way, THE truth and THE life; no one comes to the Father, but through me." (John 14:6) The only path to heaven and the God of the Bible is through Jesus Christ.

*OK, I'm with you up to this point. What do I need to do? "...if you confess with your mouth Jesus Christ as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed. For there is no distinction...for {Jesus} is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call upon Him; for whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:9-13) If you want to make things right between you and God, you must believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and you must confess your need for Him.

*OK, I believe in my heart that I am separated from God, and I believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to God. How do I "confess with my mouth"? You need to say a prayer confessing Jesus Christ as Lord, you need to tell your friends that you are a Christian (and what that means), and you need to talk to your youth pastor or some other Christian so they can help you grow in your relationship with Christ.

*What do I say when I pray? God does not care about you being "fancy" when you pray...He just wants to hear your heart. But here is a sample prayer to help you get started. Dear Jesus, I admit that I have done wrong things in my life and that I need you to forgive me. I want to live my life for you, I want you to be my Lord...the boss in my life. Please forgive me of my sin, help me to live for you, and help me to tell others what you have done in my life.
