These are photos of the sink created by the January 2010 Pioneering Sink Workshop attendees, which I have named “The Canyons Sink”.

Participants hand-crafted this complex and dynamic form in just two days! Students enrolled in the GFRC workshop that followed assisted in casting the sink. It is amazing to think that on Monday morning nothing existed, not even an idea, and by Friday the finished sink was de-molded! Concrete is an amazing thing.

Two information-packed workshops in one week! We had the honor of training two amazing groups of people in the art of custom sink fabrication, and the craft of glass-fiber reinforced concrete countertop and sink fabrication. Attendees came from as far away as Sweden and from all backgrounds.
