I have been playing solo a lot more lately and it has been very interesting. Over the last 3 years I have really gotten used to playing with Michael Costa, Matt Holmes, Taylor Moore, and Will Tucker, so it is very different hitting the road solo, or semi-solo. I will say that I have been extremely blessed to play with those guys and I am looking forward to playing a show here and there with them still. Taylor and Matt have been playing in Upstate South Carolina and I’ll post some info on my blog as it comes available with them.<br/><br/>Currently I am teaching middle school in the Charleston area and playing on the weekends as much as possible. Music is one of those strange passions that usually requires another full or part-time job to keep life moving. But I do enjoy connecting with middle-school age kids and I love to hear what youth are thinking during these times. <br/><br/>A summer tour schedule is on the way and I will post it as soon as possible. I am also slowly working on a new album. I’ll try to post on here and on the blog more often. Stay tuned!<br/>-John<br/><br/>(School Daze has to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. If you ever have an extra 2 hours to waste, give it a shot. Maybe I was a freshman in college and I didn’t get it, but I think the imdb rating should be much lower. Teaching in South Carolina leaves me a little dazed and confused.
