Half a year and a lot of amazing
So much has happened in the last week- we went to Texas, Milo had his first Halloween, he turned 6 months old, and we were able to see so many people. I’ll post more about the trip to Grandma Joy’s later, but I wanted to do a post just dedicated to the fact that Milo is a half of a year old. What a crazy 6 months we have had, and we certainly can’t imagine life without this little guy.
I had always imagined that I would do one of those things where you take a picture of your child in the same place each month so you can see how he grows. Well, things like that weren’t really relevant in the hospital, but I went back and found pictures that were taken within a day or two of the first of each month (his b-day is May 1st).
I took Milo to his 6 month check up this morning and things are looking good. He is now on the charts for weight. It’s the third percentile but it shows that he’s growing, although we already knew that! He is more than that in height and head circumference, so I guess beefing up is the last place the calories go.
It was funny because I was in the waiting room and there was a woman with her mother and 2 day old baby. They saw Milo and said, “awww, he looks so healthy!” I laughed because I was reaching for his feeding pump bag as they said this. I did explain a little ;) The doctor and I agreed though that he is certainly on his way to being healthy!
I love this stage and I want it to last (but people say you love each stage more as they grow). He is just so much fun and really responds to us. He looking at me right now laughing- how much better can it get?
Well I have things to do and better go (this has taken me many stages to write as I started when Milo was napping). I hope you like the pictures, and I’ll be back soon to share about the trip to the Lone Star State!
