In the Spring of 1999, Charlton and I met at an RUF bible study on the campus of Texas A&M University.  We started dating at the end of the summer, Charlton proposed (much earlier than planned) in February 2000, and we were married August 12, 2000.  I love to call it a whirlwind of romance because that’s what it was- it was so fast!  We were young (so many people like to point that out) but we wanted to start the rest of our lives together right away.  That meant 2 more years in College Station earning a BBA for me and a Masters for him, and then in July 2002, we felt ready for an adventure and moved to Philadelphia.  Charlton started law school and I started working full time to pay the bills.  We had such a fun time living downtown with no car and enjoying city life with friends who became family.  Exactly three years after moving to the Northeast we came home to Houston; the decision to move back to be close to family was an easy one yet it was still so hard to leave the life we built there.  Once we were back, Charlton started work as an attorney and I prepared for a life at home.  Steven Mark was born September 2006.  He is our greatest joy and I love being his mom full-time.  My hope for this website is that it will allow us to share our life- and the days that make it up- with all of our dear family and friends who are scattered around the globe.
