Scarlett was born in Wisconsin to a breeder of sled dogs.  Her mother and father, grandparents, etc. were professional sled dogs.  She had the pulling instinct in her younger years (I used to go skijoring with her in Minnesota) and if she had her own team she would have definitely been the leader.  She would never allow her brother Lincoln to get ahead of her on the trails.  She became very mellow in her old age but never lost her sass and sparkle. We lost Scarlett at the age of 15 in April of 2008.  We miss her spunky personality and fun loving ways.  No doubt she and Lincoln are running around chasing bunnies and each other at the Rainbow bridge.
