Our Alaskan rural communities and villages continue to remain under attack by the State of Alaska. Our citizens continue to deal with harassment by AK State Troopers and Fish & Game law enforcement, when trying to meet their needs and the needs of their families, whether it from harvesting fish, berries, shellfish, deer, moose, etc etc.

It seems like it’s long overdo to form a non profit 501 (c)3 to defend the rights of our people.

I am so frustrated, as a rural Alaskan I feel like our small communities are so discriminated against. The State doesn’t invest in the villages and communities across Alaska like they should. Of course they will tell you they do and that we are unfairly subsidized by population percentage, but I ask you this “where does the oil, the timber, the fish, the minerals, and the other resources that put money into the coffers come from?” It sure doesn’t come from Anchorage. I haven’t ever seen clear cuts in the rail belt. No canneries in Fairbanks. The resources are extracted from the villages, from natural to human and forget those of us that are left behind when it’s all gone. I guess we need more roads into Anchorage.
