I photograph all aspects of nature and wildlife, but specialize in photographing birds as “Birdartography.” I coined this term to refer to the growing interest in creating digital images of birds as an art form. Though concentrating on the birds of the Pacific Northwest, I travel throughout North America with my Nikon DSLR, capturing images of nature’s creatures where ever they’re found. The following photo pages show some of my images formated as medium quality JPEGs at 72 DPI but all are available in higher quality JPEGs or as RAW images, suitable for publication. Most bird images were taken with a Nikon D300 using a Nikon 200-400mm F4 zoom or Nikon 600mm F4 prime lenses. If you have a specific interest and don’t see an image of it below, please feel free to contact me.
At the end of this site you will find my Miscellaneous Album with a few shots that have little to do with nature or the outdoors. Sometimes I just can’t help myself.
Interest in using or purchasing any of these images should be directed to me by clicking on any of the “Email Me” buttons below. Ignore the address shown and just send any message. It will reach me and I’ll work out this bug when I figure out how. If you have any problems, the correct address is “cgluckman@aol.com.” All images on this web site are copyrighted and may only be used with my specific permission.
Welcome to the Gluckman Photography web site. It features the nature and wildlife images of David Gluckman who has been photographing the outdoors since the early 1960’s. For many years he used his photographs to illustrate books and magazine articles as well as his frequent lectures. Since his retirement from the practice of environmental law in 2005, he’s spent much of his time photographing the birds of the Pacific Northwest from his home in Port Townsend, WA, as well as leading birding field trips and lecturing on bird identification and bird photography.
