October Travels
October Travels
2009
Not only did October bring Biz’s 9th birthday but it brought small vacations for some and some bigger travels for others. Many of you know Aaron went to Europe to do research for his Thesis. His trip was a huge success. He met and saw so many wonderful people and places. Among these people was the actual tree farmer who found Uncle Harry’s remains many years ago! So cool. (A GIGANTIC THANKS to our wonderful friends the Reeds for letting their Dad travel with Aaron :))
But, while the cat’s away, the mice will play! :) The kids all had Columbus Day off from school. A trip to Ohio to visit Uncle John and Aunt Krissie and the farm was soon planned. Before I knew it I was being left for too many days alone! So, I booked a trip to UT! I decided to take Biz because then I could stay a little longer. Let’s just say both visits, the Farm and Utah, were wonderful! I know David, Maddy, and Marit had a spectacular weekend with Uncle John and Aunt Krissie. You can see from the pictures that they thrive there! (especially Maddy) As for Utah.... oh seeing my nephews was pretty much perfect. Not only that but I got to spend time with Chris and Donna, Cheryl, Becca, Cindy, Mom Walser, Tina & Aaron, Julia, Courtney, Melea, Ben and Kim and the list goes on and on. It was mostly a trip to make me happy and make me happy it did!
Aaron arrived home safely on the 14th. We left for a weekend “getaway” on the 16th to Williamsburg. It was wet and rainy but wonderful to spend some time together. We also got to meet a man who served in WWII with Harry. It will be fun to see what correspondence he and Aaron have in the coming weeks.
So, we are all home now. Phew.... what a wonderful whirlwind the last few weeks have been. Looks like Aaron has one more trip to AZ to research more about Harry. As for the rest of us.... we are staying put for a long time. I think I’m ready to enjoy home for awhile.
Phew.....
