Brazilian Serenade

 
 

Maurice Cahen and Ricardo Frota began performing together in 1998 creating “Brazilian Serenade”.  Since then, their collaboration has evolved into a multi-faceted, musical platform, including performances of Brazilian Jazz Bossa, Chorinho, Samba and original compositions.  The duo performs in a variety of venues locally in the Boston and New England area. Brazilian Serenade also performed in Brazil, at the Ibitipoca Jazz Festival (Minas Gerais) in July 2006, Brazilian Serenade performed in the local club scene in Rio de Janeiro, Niteroi and Juis de Fora occasionally augmenting their sound with an additional guitar, bass, flute or full rhythm section. Their unique and original combination of guitar and violin create sounds that are memorable and enchanting.
