Enterprise ready Iphone web applications with icefaces and dash code.
The motivation for developing an iphone web application vs. a native application isn’t as varied as the reasons for developing a client server application over a web application. With newer tools such as adobe Air that landscape is changing to. None the less web applications are somewhat easier to design, although once you get used to objective C you’ll soon learn that native apps aren't really that hard to develop either. Three very real reasons are:
1)Web applications can easily be incorporated into native applications via the uiwebview component.
2) As a free limited preview of functionality available in the paid for native applications.
3) As a safey net for your investment in time if the all wise Apple reviewers decide your application is not worthy of the app store. A very real concern.
In this tutorial we are going to discuss the three small web applications shown in the panel at the right, From top to bottom.
1)A simple image browser
2)A carousel using the popular yahoo component
3)A spring web flow application showing simple flow navigation
