Ocean Shores 2010

Took a few days off to take a midweek trip out to Ocean Shores, WA. It was a hit and miss with the weather, but I don’t expect any less along the Washington coast in the winter. On the other hand, the weather always makes it interesting.
We took in some of the beaches there in Ocean Shores and also took a day trip further up the coast to Ruby Beach seen above. Emma enjoyed the sand of the beach as where Liam didn’t know what to do with himself there were so many rocks to climb and throw.
Denise and I love it out on the coast. It’s a rugged and tough coast line and demands respect. Yet, it’s beautiful and soothing at the same time. Pictures posted below.

My wife sent me this top photo first saying ow cute it was. The title was something about being cute. I could hear him, “Milk-box? Get in?” Then I received the second photo seen below, “Emma’s turn? Get in!”

Sleeping Lady Getaway

An extremely nice weekend away, although one of the more exhausting “relaxing” weekends I had in awhile. Not a lot of sleep with the kids but a lot of fun during the day. Incredible weather. Photos below.

Pushing the limits

Emma has been crawling now for about a month. Actually she has become a shadow, and will follow us everywhere in the house. The only exceptions is if she feels the need for some cat food.
Her new thing is climbing up anything and precariously hanging for of furniture around the house. Here, she had fun climbing the jump-a-roo and never really fell down, although were times here she didn’t look like she was going to stay standin’.
I predict walking and chasing Liam by next month.

My mom came into town the week of Christmas this year, great to see her and have her home for the holidays. The kids were excited to have someone else to pal around with and, frankly, so were we. Thanks for all the help around the house while you were here. That was greatest christmas present.

Greenlake Luminaries

Denise has wanted to see this every year since I’ve known her. We have never gone, until now. Although it was about 20 below zero we got out and walked a short bit of the lake bikepath completely lit with nothing but luminaries. They keep them lit all the way around the lake. Very pretty. I wish it was a little bit warmer so we could walked a little further,

Sunny December

December around here is not usually so nice, but we have had a great stretch of sunny weather and thought we might get out into it.
Here we headed out to Warren G. Magnuson Park for a morning in the sun. We played that the playground, checked out the dog park (stinky), and headed over to the newly astro-turfed soccer pitches. Liam even got a few kicks in with another boy’s ball. Emma, as you can see, was just content to sit in the sun.
