What will YOU do to bring change?
What will YOU do to bring change?
WeGotYourBarack.com

On November 4, 2008, Americans spoke loud and clear. We are ready for change, we are ready to finally do what is right, we acknowledge that change takes work and sacrifice from each and every one of us.
Send a message, or as many messages as you like, proclaiming your vow to help further this change in America.
Don’t forget to attach a picture of yourself or one that inspires you.
Make a vow right now. We know you’re busy but don’t put off change.

I promise to look at everyone without prejudice, empathize with their needs and try to understand them.
I’ll try to not press my views onto people but instead find a need of theirs that I CAN help with.

I vow to be a better listener, to really pay attention when others speak.
I vow to be less cynical, and kinder in word, action, and thought.
I vow to take this opportunity to be more hopeful, and believe in things yet unseen. To not be self-defeatist.
And with this hope, not only do I want to better myself, because I know where I need to change. But I also want to find ways to better my world, both immediate and remote, and people within my reach, and not because I believe they need to be bettered, but because we can all see eye to eye that we could all use a little bit of change in our lives. Change for good.
And with each passing day, I will try a little to practice this, and hope that I can see a little more good in everything, and hopefully follow it, and let it lead me, through the course of my days.

In the back of my mind and workplace, I hear negativity (chatter about "we're doomed", or "he's just a good speaker", or "no experience whatsoever" and the list goes on) and I remembered the prayer today - forgive and you will be forgiven. So thanks for the opportunity HATERS, you've given me the opportunity to forgive you and be forgiven myself. I think this is how Barack would operate - I need to remember him in these trials of frustration and potential anger. Not only has he inspired, but by example, he is the true leader our parents, grandparents, great grandparents and forefathers taught from generation to generation - no matter what ethnicity you're from, Irish American, African-American, German-American, British-American, Native-American, Mexican-American, Italian-American, Jewish-American, Korean-American, Jamerican, etc. Barack Obama, is our next president and a spiritual leader of the free world. Grown men cried all over the world, grown women prayed for his safety, children held their parents and thought deeply, the youth cheered loudly. If you don't believe that Barack Obama is God-sent, watch these next four years under his leadership, while we - us and you out there, work hard not to mess up the dream reiterated by him, reinstated from M.L.K., but realized through Barack.
We salute you, Chief Obama.

I will do my best to contribute to and support my local community and the community at large by making conscious decisions on things like; what I purchase and where (is it locally grown? Organic/pesticide free growers? etc...), how I dispose of my garbage (recycling when I can when disposing of items, or donating items that can still be used by others, etc...) and continuing to learn about what supports the health of the people around me, both for their emotional life as well as what they need to live peacefully and comfortably in terms of resources and such. I am very happy Obama is our President, I look forward to patiently watching our country change toward a direction of well being for all! whohoo!!! :)
