The time is now.

I have been busy this last couple years building my institution and developing the brain tank that houses all of my think storms. I am proud to say that the Lab is up and running at the Pump Project Satellite, 1109 Shady Lane.
East Austin Studio Tour is a great way to see the most recent works, and the ideas of which they manifest.
I apologize to those who are hoping for the new updated web site, and fully suggest that you...

My work has been transforming. Drawing of things and stuff, became studies of products and possession. New ideas to solve daily problems became drawings of inventions. The imagination of a future filled with advances in positivity have broached my visionary realm giving me the fodder for creations of an unknown kind. Basically saying, I have been up to more than this web based portfolio and marketing device has been able to document...

Hello family, friends, colleagues, and patrons,
Please take a look at a collaboration I am privileged to be a part of...
For those not familiar with Kickstarter, there are a few things that separate it from other fund-raising platforms:
1. The project must be creative, not only charitable.
We will be working with children in both Austin and Nicaragua to produce a collaborative picture book. The families in Nicarauga will receive copies of this book, as will the children in Austin. This project will not only bring two communities together, but will also provide an heirloom and source of pride for the Nicaraguan youth and their families.
2. Those who give money to the project are considered "backers", not "donors".
Each contributor buys into the project. Without their help, it truly cannot happen. Therefore, each backer receives a reward related to the project - from note-cards featuring the kids' artwork to copies of the book itself.
3. The project isn't funded unless we reach our goal.
Your pledge is definitely appreciated, but we don't expect everyone to be able to support us.
Please forward the word to anyone who may like to hear about this project. They will receive one of the featured rewards (if they back) and you will have also collaborated in this great endeavor.
Check out the project description here:

Thank you so much!

Recent Updates to the arts of j.haley.... which is me.
Crazy days. So I will just start with updates that most of you know.
I have partnered with Josh Frank on Starving Art Studios and the East Austin Trailer Park and Eatery, (E.A.T.) check it out here. http://www.austinstarvingart.com
We have 20+ studios, two gallery spaces, an indoor arts market (Art Boothe Craft Shoppe), a mini “Drive-in” movie theater, musical acts, and food trailers. Every first friday of the month we have an opening event featuring new local artists in the galleries, and all the accruements of a full fledged Austin event.

Look for more about the Eatery and Starving Art soon on NPR. Josh Frank and I were interviewed for the State of the Re:Union at the beginning of June and the piece should start airing Later this month or beginning of September. Al Letson was great to meet and chat with. His crew were nice people I look forward to his shows. You should check it out. I’ll be sure to tweet, post, buzz, plurk, or what have you, when the word starts to air....

Then one day an ABC Studio Peep walked into GrayDuck Gallery and bought up a bunch of works for a new DocuDrama being filmed in Austin... called My Generation. It just so happens that I have works in GrayDuck’s semi-permanant retail room and some of my pieces were picked up. I think they will be hanging in a house in the show. http://abc.go.com/shows/my-generation
Well, that is enough for now... Over and out.
