The Bluestocking Guide: Reviews by a Partial, Prejudiced, and Ignorant Reader

This meme is hosted by Mihaela Lica. She reviewed Small is the New Big by Seth Godin. She doesn’t recommend that you buy the book. My friend Lillie answered this question on her blog here. The question is:
What About You? Have You Ever Regretted Buying a Book? Why?
Oh yes, I regret buying a couple of books:
Moby Dick: if I wanted to read a book on whale biology I’d bought a book on whale biology. I had heard that the book was all about vengeance. I mean Captain Ahab is a byword. The whole revenge thing seemed an after thought. I only finished it because it was Moby Dick, but boy what a waste!
Pamela or Virtue Reward: yes this book can be summed up in two words “Stockholm Syndrome.” This book made me so violent that I threw the book across the room.
Mr. Darcy’s Daughters: I’m still trying to figure out whether the author actually read any Jane Austen.
Breaking Dawn: Ms. Meyer took a left turn into la la land with this one.
The Tales of Beedle the Bard: only if you must have a complete set of J.K. Rowling books.
