Don’t you just love finding shapes in the clouds? Or gremlins in the ceiling tiles? It can certainly help pass the time while falling asleep or sitting on the throne, but some people actually find meaning there.

  1. Pareidolia is a type of illusion or misperception involving a vague or obscure stimulus being perceived as something clear and distinct.

One lady found Jesus in her bathroom tiles while recovering from an eye injury. Every tile was exactly the same because they were MANUFACTURED the same way, but she found a message from God in a swirl of faux marble.

I saw Benji in my popcorn ceiling the other day. Were those just random dots or a message from Dog?

I always thought those people were just silly until, while traveling Mexico, I saw a shape in a window I just couldn’t interpret in any other way. It was clearly an image of the Virgin Mary. Even Phil Plait couldn’t deny it.

So I took a picture

Pretty convincing, huh?

After seeing such an apparition, who could deny the hand of a creator at work.

Yet, somehow, this didn’t attract the throngs of people who seem to flock to a glint of light or a water stain on the side of a building. There were lots of people there, but they just walked on by.

Heck, I’ll bet it wouldn’t fetch a price even close to what a half eaten, slightly burnt cheese sandwich did on eBay.

Why is that, I wonder?

If the hand of the creator is too obvious, does it not inspire faith?

so, still in Mexico, I happened into a Mexican Costco and lo and behold, another  vision caught my eye. Does God’s power know no bounds?
