Beth Graue is a faculty member in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is also Associate Director of Faculty, Staff, & Graduate Development at the Wisconsin Center for Education Research.
A former kindergarten teacher, Graue’s research focuses on early childhood policy & practice, with a focus on primary grades. She has conducted research on readiness, kindergarten practice, home school relations, assessment practice, class size reduction, and is currently studying how educators learn to use data in educational decisionmaking.
Her teaching has primarily focused on qualitative research methods and is part of a group in UW’s School of Education working to develop a minor in qualitative research methodology.
