What a stir it seems to be starting. I could have sold several prints last week but the only problem was that it wasn’t done. That will be a minor obstacle in about 3 weeks. Prints will be for sale. Since the first week, I’ve added some detail to the back/front wheel, tail pipe and engine. Features added were the seat and front light. By next photo opt I hope to have the handle bars and engine completed. The tires are an easy area to get lost in when trying to get the right angle of the spokes. There will be add on there as well but they will be less obvious. The background had to be added slowly so that it blends with the features of the bike. I want the background to enhance the overall look of the bike. Until next time.....

I will be exhibiting this weekend at J&P Cycles in Anamosa, Iowa. I’ve never painted a motorcycle before. Not because I don’t like motorcycles.... in fact I spend many a weekends riding with friends and camping during the summer on the Harley. Above is my first attempt at painting a bike. It is barley started and while it won’t be done by the weekend, it will be at J&P Cycles to view. I’ve also never shown anything before it was completely finished. So maybe now a few can see how it all will come together. I will post the progress and the final product as I go along. I wouldn’t say that this is difficult but the toughest part will be the background which I can’t really put much into until the bike is completed. The spokes of the tires and making it blend with the background will be the biggest challenge. My mailman is a biker junkie. He now stops in to see the progress and to educate me in the ways of the motor bike world. If I could remember what all he has had to say then I know I wouldn’t be able to spell it out correctly. So I won’t even try. I have found that there are many more than I realize that ride. Motorcycles are just one aspect of their lives. Thanks Tony the mailman.

I have put together a series of 4 x 6 original paintings. They are signed on the back side and come with letters of authenticity. They sell for $100.00 each and when the series runs out, I may or may do another series. More can be viewed at http://www.elizabethbollwitt.com/100_Paintings.html These images are simple and playful. The challenge for me is getting enough detail with a style that requires space in order to complete what is going on in the brain.

This is a fairly new project. I have put several of my painting onto 11 x 14 inch prints. There are more to be viewed at http://www.elizabethbollwitt.com/prints11x14.html. For those who do not have the wall space or simply just want a smaller image, these fit perfectly. I know of a few who are collecting what they like and forming coaloages based on color and or themes. Unframed they are $39.99 and framed they are $59.99. I’ve been working with interior designers and they seem to like having a portfolio of prints to flip through with their clients.
