Welcome to the website of TALKavat Translations Ltd., an Irish company set up by Cécile & Des Furlong in January 2007.
TALKavat Translations Ltd., trading as TALKavat is based in the town of Killarney - Ireland's premier tourist destination.
Cécile Furlong holds a Brevet de Technicien Supérieur - Hotellerie Restauration (Art Culinaire, Art de la Table et du Service) and has previously worked in the travel and hospitality industry in Ireland and France.
Cécile herself oversees specialised translation services between French & English including menus, brochures and HACCP materials.
Des Furlong has studied Russian for over 20 years including at Trinity College Dublin, Moscow State University and at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
Having worked in Moscow for over 4 years, he is well placed to provide quality translation from Russian to English of official documents, qualifications/certificates and also specialises in translation of CVs.
Des also holds a Diploma in European Union Studies awarded by the National University of Ireland and a Diploma in Advanced Level French awarded by the Civil Service Language Centre.
TALKavat® currently specialises in translation services in French, German, Polish and Russian. However, Italian, Spanish & other languages are available.
All services are provided in accordance with the Code of Practice and Professional Ethics of the Irish Translators' and Interpreters' Association.
