When I first started writing my own website, I did it primarily for blogging purpose only. It was actually because of one of my internet friends, who had been blogging for quite sometimes, and who gave me an idea of what blogging was all about. But I was a little apprehensive at first since I didn’t know whether I could keep up with it. I thought it would be very short-live, and I would give it up all together after a few months.
It has been almost a year now, and I am still updating my blog regularly. In fact, I started to find reasons for this little hobby--something that were not in me initially. I began to feel like I have a little space where I can express myself freely, where creativity is encouraged, and where people around you share the same interest. I also picked up some hobbies along the way. I began to love digital photography. To be honest I knew very little about digital photography prior to starting my own website. I began to do more research on it after some sarcastic comments brought up by one of my friends. She actually taught me some technique in shooting photo after mocking me of how amateur my photography skill was.
Blogging became a refuge for me when I was having some down times. It was also a place I can share my thought, concern, sorrow, as well as joy. The possibility is limitless. That’s why I name my blog site “Eclectic.” It’s a collection of “everything.” For now, I’m writing this site from scratch. It is still underdeveloped, and I plan to add more pages very soon. I’m trying to figure out to export my entire blog to this site, and so far, there hasn’t been any success. But I will find a way eventually.
