The Heels 4 Hope 5k was established in February 2009 in honor of Geraldine Bjork.  Mrs. Bjork died of cancer on January 24, 2009.  She dedicated her life to helping others and made a difference in the lives of many young students.  Heels 4 Hope is a nonprofit organization that is working in conjunction with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Arc of Orange County, and Push America to help raise money and awareness for cancer and individuals with disabilities. 

The second annual race will be held on October 17th, 2010 at 9 AM.  In honor of Ms. Bjork, part of the proceeds will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to help the fight against cancer.  All other proceeds will benefit Push America and the Arc of Orange County.
