He weighed in at 7lbs. 14oz. and 20.5 inches in length.

It was a little over a week before we were able to go to visit, but with much anticipation we finally made the trek. Kelly’s mom, Carole Fritz, and her grandma, Dorothy Fritz, flew in from Dayton, OH and Phoenix, AZ to ride up with us. Check out the photos of Liam and his many relatives at the photo page.

Word has it that Jonah and Chloe both made the trip...but alas, Jonah seemed to always be somewhere else and Chloe...well, Chloe took a lot of these photos and I failed to get a picture of her holding her first nephew. I’m a bad dad!

While we tried to keep Christmas gifts simple and inexpensive, Kelly and I decided to splurge on photos.

Check out the Family Photos 2008 page for our family and individual photos. The local studio would only book ten settings at a time so we posed on the 26th and 27th.

Wherever you are we hope you had a wonderful Christmas and will have a Happy New Year with those you love.

Lee

In fact we wondered if we’d have our usual Christmas feast or not when Dad’s package came in the mail last week. In past years Dad has sent a Honey Baked Ham, but after AIG nearly failed we figured we’d be lucky to even get a card from him and Mom...well we needn’t have feared.

Check out the photo page of our Christmas Feast to see pictures of Kelly putting it all together and me carving up servings for fourteen (Emma is eating for two these days).

In all seriousness, we’ve much to be thankful for this year, but we’ve had a lot of fun with Dad’s joke. Merry Christmas to you wherever you and yours are.

Lee

June, our other big birthday month with three seemed like a good motivation to update the site.

First there’s Silas’ birthday on the 11th. It seems like just yesterday...but already he’s seven. Then comes Baby (not so much) Ruth on the 21st. She’s nine this year. Last in June is Mary who turned two today.

In addition to the June Birthdays photo page, check out the other photo pages with random shots taken since the Pumpkin Carving photos.

The kids still had a lot of fun choosing patterns from the internet to carve into their pumpkins. Check out the Carving Pumpkins photo page to see all the gory details.

By the time they were done the kitchen floor was a lovely slippery mess. Kelly was in bed with the flu and luckily didn’t get to see it all. Chloe graciously mopped the floor before we went to bed.

As you can see from the photo, Silas carved an owl (with some help), Esther chose Blue from Blue’s Clues (also with help), Ruth found a scary face, Hannah carved a bat, Chloe a witch, and Margaret a cat. Next year will see Halloween on a Friday and I’m sure we’ll be back up to our old costumed tricks.
