Things that make me smile.

Here are a few things from the past week or so that make me smile.
-The return of friends and familiar faces. Barbara Ryan coming for a short visit.  The Masso family also coming for a short visit to clean out there house after living in Sudan for a year.
-Deep, heart to heart conversations; specifically with Barb Ryan who spent a month here a year ago and returned for a week visit this year.  It is wonderful to be able to share your heart and feel encouraged through the hardships.
-Reuniting of friends. School has included small bits of Masso kids thrown in the mix. A reminder of how RMS was at once.  It brings a smile to my face to see the friendships and the joy those kids share together.
-Good conversations with Ugandan friends. The Ugandan school year is coming to a close soon and many of my soccer girls will leave, many have already left, and some won’t return.  This week I was able to have good conversations with some of the girls who I have really come to love.  I hope there end to school will not be the end of friendships.
-Good movies and fellowship.  We sometimes watch movies at night since when it gets dark there is not a lot of nighttime entertainment (at least not entertainment that I would like to partake in).  Since Anna is fresh from America, we have new movies or at least movies that we haven’t seen in a while.  This week, I have watch some good movies which sounds sort of funny to put up, but is nice to have an escape and good entertainment.
-Dancing.  Thursday was Scott Myhre’s birthday which we celebrated with cake, a game, and a dance party.  I just love to dance and this was an especially great dance party with good friends and fun music, including some oldies but goodies!
-A dark night with bright stars. There are some nights in which the night sky literally takes your breath away.  When the moon has not risen but the night is clear and the stars shine so bright you feel you could reach up and touch them. Friday was one of those nights and all I could do was stand and stare in awe of God’s incredible creation.
(Not my picture, just wanted to include one, but it can look like this!)
