Alberta Bound!

Each year the Canadian Federation of Farm Writers (CFWF) host an annual conference, hosted in rotation across the country in turn by each of the regional chapters.  In 2009 the annual conference is being hosted by the Alberta chapter in beautiful Edmonton, Alberta.  The theme of the event is “Shaping the Future Marketplace: The Opportunity Hunters” and will be held at the Edmonton Delta South Hotel, Edmonton, Alberta. 

Each year the Eastern Canadian Farm Writers’ Association (ECFWA) sponsor a bursary to help offset the travel costs of one ECFWA member to attend the CFWF conference.  This is a very generous opportunity and one that is always highly contested amongst ECFWA members.  I’m thrilled to have been selected as the recipient of the 2009 ECFWA bursary.  I invite you to bookmark this website which will form the foundation of my communication with our broader ECFWA membership to share the news and the highlights from the event with the broader community.
