We will be hosting a potluck meal and visiting day with pumpkins galore and more!
Saturday, September 19th, 2009 11 am - 4 pm.
*Please note that this is not a public event and is only intended for shareholders & their guests, and invited friends of the farm and Learning Center. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
◆ 11:00 am - 12:30 Arrive + Hayride ◆
Bring family & friends to experience the beauty of the farm. Upon arrival, please check in with the reception table near the entrance of the main white barn. After checking in, there will be ample opportunity to meet fellow shareholders & farm workers, to relax & explore the farm and Angelic Organics Learning Center, and to go on a hayride during which you can pick pumpkins & gourds to take home.
◆ 12:30 - 1:30 The Potluck ◆
Please bring a large dish to share. We have noticed in the past that, in an attempt to try a little bit of all the delicious dishes, people have had a tendency to overload their plates (and as a general note, farm workers tend to be ferocious eaters). Therefore, in order to ensure that their is ample food for everyone, we encourage that your dish has double or triple the amounts which would feed your whole family. You may also wish to bring the recipe that goes with your dish. Please put your name & your delivery site on the recipe. Upon checking in, someone will help to keep your dish description and recipe with your dish. Also, please bring your own place settings & beverages. We also encourage you to bring a picnic blanket and/or lawns chairs as table space is limited.
◆ 1:30 - 2:45 The CSA Meeting ◆
Meet the Farm Team. Get an update on the season & fields. Hear the latest from the Learning Center. Talk, ask questions, and offer suggestions about food & farming.
◆ 3:00 - 4:00 Farm Field Tour ◆
The Farm Field Tour will be similar to hayrides occurring earlier in the day but will go into greater detail about our growing plans & strategies, the vegetables we grow, and our experiences thus far in the season. Be aware that space is limited and that the tour is often a popular event. Be sure to catch a hayride before lunch if you want to ensure at least 1 trip around the fields.
R.S.V.P.’s are not necessary; you can decide to come at the last minute--just be sure to bring a dish as described above and a picnic blanket to sit on while you eat.

Pet & Insect Note: Although we do love the company of animals (such as the Learning Center’s goats & cows) we do not allow pets to be brought onto the farm. Also, as we are an Organic Farm, we do not spray against mosquitos. If you have insect bite concerns, we recommend you wear long sleeves and pants and/or bring the insect repellant of your choice.
