Andrea is a science, health, and environmental journalist based in New York City and western Canada. Her work has appeared in a variety of print and online publications, including Audubon magazine, Discover magazine online, Nature Medicine, Scientific American Mind magazine, New York Resident, the Simons Foundation news site SFARI, and NYU’s award-winning student webzine Scienceline, where she served as environment editor for a year. She is currently senior science reporter at the genetics and biotechnology-focused trade publication GenomeWeb Daily News.
