Maybe it’s a little historical revisionism, but as I look back at the films I’ve seen over the years, It has been surprisingly easy to narrow my top pics to 2 or 3 movies per year.  It’s not that there aren’t other movies worth seeing, but the features below are movies that I wouldn’t think twice about watching twice in a row.

2008

For my Dad’s 65th b-day we took him to see Slumdog Millionare.  It was very reminiscent of City of God, with a more optimistic Bolly Wood flare. The story was moving, the cinematography was beautiful and the music was infectious (my Mother had to be restrained to keep her from dancing in the isles).  I absolutely loved this movie and I absolutely have no desire to visit India - EVER.
