100 Days

Before life moves on, I thought I would post some more pictures of Sally’s trip to visit us. We had a great time. We went to the pumpkin patch and to the Natural History museum. Ella and Wyatt played outside and had fun at the park. They took a bath every night in the “big bath tub” which meant they had bubbles and colored water. (Purple was their usual color of choice.)
Sally and I took about 300 pictures of each other to find one that would make us look both thin and young, which is something one can only ask a sister to do. Willie and Sally made some great meals for us. We had a first birthday party for Vera and Hank. Even though they are almost exactly the same age, Vera is quite a bit bigger and more aggressive, so we had to protect him from her enthusiastic love.
Genet called Hank “Hankie”, as in handkerchief, and taught Sally how to make Ethiopian food. She plans to transform Grand Junction with her new skills.
I took Wyatt to the store one day during naps so Sally could relax and I couldn’t believe how heavy he was when I put him in the cart. I told him I needed to get stronger to pick him up. He suggested maybe I go to the gym more often.
Ella cried really hard when they left. She said, “I am going to be happy when Hank and Wyatt come to our house again.” Wyatt said, “Next time we come, I want to stay 100 days.” They were so cute and it was worth all the effort to get them here to watch them play together.
Next time let’s hope for 100 days!
