Switzerland

 
 

The first few photos are from our brief stay in Paris.  We went to the Salon de Fromage, which is essentially a cheese trade show.  We also visited Rungis, a giant market outside of Paris where food/drink/flowers/etc wait in giant warehouses for export.  Then... Switzerland!  We stayed in Zurich and took day trips all over the country.  We were led by Conrad, who works for Chaes und Co, a Swiss cheese selector that we get many of our cheeses from.  He was awesome... taught us incredible amounts about Switzerland and its cheese, and he knows the cheesemakers themselves quite well.  The first day we traveled to Western Switzerland - “Gruyere Country.”  The second day was Northeastern Switzerland for the “Toggenburg Tour.”  The third was the “Grisons Visit” in Southern Switzerland.
