It has been many months since our last entry and Cameron has turned into a little boy in that time. He has been the oldest kid in the infant/toddler room at school for a few months now and quickly asserted himself as the alpha dog once the two older kids moved up. There was pushing involved for about a week, but he is more of a benevolent despot now. He has been speaking in full sentences for several months and will repeat anything and everything he hears even when you think his little ears are distracted by toys, books, or the movie “Up.” He is obsessed with “Up” and would watch twice a day, every day if allowed.
Springtime provided much needed relief from the long cold days of Winter and Milwaukee is one of the best places to live in the summer. We have been lucky enough to spend some time with family and friends this spring an early summer and are expecting to see more family for Cammy’s second birthday in a few weeks. Mimi came to visit in early June and Cam had a blast spending the day with her at the Milwaukee museum. Chris, Jen, and Luke Moran came a few weeks later so that Chris could participate in the first Triathalon of the season down at Lake Geneva with Max. The Zullo clan (except for Uncle Jeff and Aunt Marisa) arrived for 4th of July weekend and we had some much fun at the Whitefish Bay parade and Shorewood Fireworks. Grandpa had a great birthday with both of his grandchildren and a few great meals in Milwaukee.
We have spent many days at the JCC water park and Cameron is learning to love the water. He is becoming more courageous each trip and will submerge his face in the water...he wasn’t too pleased with Mommy dunking his whole head under today though.
Max is doing really well with his new job at Foley. He is a staff attorney and is overseeing the Conflicts department (resolves conflicts of interest between new clients and existing clients). As for me, I have finished my first year of Cardiology fellowship without missing too many heart attacks on call...it has been a difficult year, but has been very rewarding...I think I will finish this training program without transferring institutions or deciding to go back to Radiology.
We will be heading out to Utah for Josh and Devon’s wedding in mid August and then will be taking a family trip to California for John McMahon’s wedding and a road trip to Big Sur. Pops, Abuela, and Aunt Jesse will be meeting us out there. Anne will be joining us for camping at Big Sur...should be interesting since neither Max nor I have been camping since Middle school.
