TheMotherhoodProject is our on-going, online research study on the effect of pregnancy and motherhood on the lives of women.

Are you pregnant (2nd or 3rd trimester) and over 18 years of age? If so, please consider completing our online or paper survey. We welcome multiple perspectives from women of diverse backgrounds!

With your help, we would like to learn more about the process of becoming a mother and how it may inform a woman’s identity, relationships, spirituality, mental health, and general well-being.

Participants will be asked to complete two nearly identical multiple-choice surveys regarding their personal beliefs, practices, feelings and behaviors: once during pregnancy and then again approximately four months after giving birth.

This dissertation research has been approved by our university’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) and meets the highest standards of practice.
