Our Guests
Mike works in his school as a Technology Integration Specialist as well as teaches High School courses in Computer Applications and Web Design. Over the last two years, he worked to implement a small deployment of mobile devices into a wide range of content areas in his school as well as with all administrators in his district who have iPod Touch devices to manage their day to day tasks. Mike has also presented on these devices at a number of local, state, and national conferences since 2008. These workshops have proven very popular and include lots of app, tools, and resources for school administrators who are eager to see how the iPad fits into their workflow for school administration and explore concepts for teachers and student use as well.
Carolyn is a former third grade teacher who since 1999 has been the technology coordinator and computer teacher at Burley School, a preK-8 Chicago Public School, where she is currently implementing an iPad program in grades 1 and 2 and is soon to expand the iPad program to grades 4 and 5. She also has experience running a 1:1 laptop program and leading school and district-wide professional development. Check out her use of the iPad on her blog.
