So, how do bestselling authors start a project like this?  They research their subject.  This WebQuest will take you through several activities that will help you get to know trickster tales.  These steps will prepare you for the ultimate challenge - writing and illustrating your own trickster tale!  Click on the steps below to see directions for the activities you will be completing on this journey:

Step 1: You will complete a KWL chart to record what you already know about trickster stories and what you would like to learn about them.

Step 2: You will read two trickster stories from different cultures and compare them.

Step 3: You will learn the parts of a trickster tale.

Step 4: You will find a different story about the tricksters you learned about in the previous task.  You will create a comic based on this story.

Step 5: You will create a concept map showing which animals are tricksters, which animals get tricks played on them, and what tricks might be played.

Step 6: You will create an original trickster story including illustrations.
