Here is Emory’s Resignation Letter to the NF Executive Committee

Monday, March 2, 2009

Dear NF Executive Committee,

In the past some 27 years, I have had the honor of serving you in many ways. In those years, one of my great privileges has been to serve you as the president of NF for 6 years.

However, in the past many months, I find myself more and more divided in my service to you because of the many responsibilities and offices that I currently serve in.

My desire is to finish “the race” strong as the Apostle Paul encourages us to do. It is my desire to serve you even stronger in the future. The schedule of activities that my current posts demand, however, has not strengthened my service, but drained my energy and has taken a physical toll on me which effects every person and area of which I serve.

Therefore, it is with hope for future ministries and, the many constituents that I still serve that I am offering my resignation as the president of NF, effective February 28, 2009.

I am offering my consulting services to NF to assist them in the time of transitional period next several months as whenever need.

God has blessed NF with a strong and capable team of leaders and servants, who are well able to take the “mantle” of His calling for this position and, with His anointing to, all the more, accomplish the Kingdom’s work.

I am still serving you as your AG US Missionary and in other roles of ministry our Lord has favored me with.

I remain your servant and your brother in the NF Family.

Truly yours in Love & Christ,

Rev. Emory K. Dively
AG US Missionary & Pastor

Thank you Emory for your years of great service as NF President!
Greetings Brothers and Sisters in the name of Jesus!
Hope all is well with you and your family. I’m reminded by the Spirit of the Lord to speak and act upon His Word often, such as “the Joy of the Lord is my strength”, “Lift up your head to the Almighty”, and “I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me”. God’s Word does INSPIRE His children today!
Two reasons I’m writing you this urgent letter but first, I want to say thank you for having confidence in me as your Vice President of the National Deaf Culture Fellowship (NF). I’ve learned a lot since September 08’ and I still have a lot to learn.
During the recent Nat’l Deaf Convention at ORU – Oral Robert University, the NF officers and regional representatives agree to raise $12,000.00 to help our NF Missionaries back in the field. Many hearts were touched and the pledges reached over $15,000.00. Let’s honor our words and pledge by faith and we will see these goals accomplish for God’s Kingdom!
1. $12,000.00 Mission Goals (2008 – 2010)
Tentative Projects
* Japan $2,000-President trip for WDAG Executive Committee Sept 2009
* Mongolia $1,000 for Phrase 2nd
* Nicaragua $5,000 for Additional Dorm Project
* First Korean Deaf Church Planting-Baltimore, MD $1,000
* WDAG Interpreters for 2009 Conference-Japan $3,000
NF convention mission support received so since June is $6,296 (updated - Nov 21, 2008)

Thank you for believing and giving in Mission!

2. Urgent needs – Rev. Eduardo / Glady Perdomo (Deaf Missionary in Venezuela)
Our Missionary will be returning to Venezuela in December 2008. Their name was not on the NF Mission Goal list and our NF officers (Rev. Emory Dively, Rev. Jimmy Schwyhart and Rev. Nick LeFors Jr) agreed to raise $1000.00 to meet their needs. Their needs are separate from the NF Mission Goal. Would you as an individual and/or your church be willing to help relieve our Missionary Brother Perdomo’s financial burden? Two hundred dollars ($200.00) has already been pledged from two Deaf Churches. Every small or large contribution adds up. When their goal is reached, you will be informed by email and by the NF Website.

3. NF Website - Need more information concerning our missionary Perdomo?
