Alan and Liz would like to welcome you to Sanders Cottage. Sanders Cottage is a characterful miner's cottage, beautifully renovated to contemporary standards, whilst retaining a certain rustic charm. Sanders Cottage has been awarded four stars by Visit Britian.

Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac opposite woodland, Sanders Cottage boasts the following accommodation: a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower; a twin bedroom; a family bathroom with a shower over the bath; a sitting room with a wood-burning stove and a dining area; a well-equipped kitchen with dish washer plus table and chairs; and a boot room fitted with a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The house is centrally heated.

Outside you will find a patio area with tables and chairs, and a well-kept lawn area. There is also a balcony leading off the double bedroom, with a seating area. There is secure storage for bicycles. Well behaved dogs are welcome at a small charge (see Terms and Conditions).

You will find all the shops that you need for your holiday - a Co-op supermarket, a Post Office, a general store, a bicycle shop, and more - only a mile away from the cottage. Plus doctors, dentists and vets, with the nearest casualty department being at The Dilke Hospital (towards Coleford, 5 minutes by car).

Sanders Cottage is in the middle of the Forest of Dean, and is an ideal base from which you can explore miles of woodland walks and mountain bike trails, without even having to get into your car.

Nestled between the River Wye and River Severn, the Forest of Dean is an area of great natural beauty and much historic interest, and it is yours to explore. You will be able to: visit a working coal mine; challenge yourself at the climbing wall; fish at the trout lakes; canoe down the Wye; walk, swing and climb in the treetops; play golf; visit historic castles; sit in a pub garden near the historic Tintern Abbey; or eat in one of the fine restaurants in the area. The only limit is your imagination.

If you wish to go shopping whilst you are here, the cathedral city of Gloucester, and the charming town of Monmouth are both only half an hour away by car. Ross-on-Wye, Cheltenham and Hereford are all within easy reach by car. Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff Airports are all within easy reach.

Gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and a basket of blocks are all included. We also include a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and sugar. You will be able to park your car on the quiet, no-through road outside the house.

We look forward to welcoming you at Sanders Cottage.
