we are so neglectful, apologies to the readers. this photo was taken on the ferry predawn as we were pulling into kobe wharf. our mini excursion to osaka was two weeks ago now, so much has changed since then. I quit my job about a week after that adventure and since then it’s been a whirlwind of uncertainty, excitement and collecting the pieces of this mess. they are coming together thankfully. I have 6 days left at GEM school and couldn’t be more excited about that. I have really learned how severe a malicious employer can affect your own integrity, general trust and even your own trustworthiness. After five months of suffering under her inadequate management i could barely recognize myself, my thoughts, even my actions, i had to leave and now we are declaring the early exit a victory. Andrew is working through september as a trial period. While i will look for other jobs.
God is really taking care of us via the Japanese Bahais. they have helped us find a house to rent for cheap and set up utilities and find a fridge (fast fact: when you move into an apartment besides paying enormous fees for the key, the lock, the cleaning and a blessing, you have to buy all the appliances most apartments don’t even have stoves).
we move in two days andrew is playing a show for an organization called Second Hand and all the while we are missing you like crazy!
with love
