WHAT WE DO . . .

More than anything else, we have a blast! The Lord gives us things to do that exercise the gifts and talents He gave us and gets us closer to living life to the fullest! Part of having a blast is simply encouraging others to dive in, the water is great, because its His "Living Water." Another part is seeing the needs of others that we can do nothing significant about, and getting to help anyway when He answers the need and lets us be part of it! We have literally had prayers answered beyond anything we have asked or imagined. We have great joy and deep satisfaction as He gives our hands and hearts things to do, then guides them through with His gentle touch. He takes our finite hands and guides them to things He makes eternal!

And what are the needs? Well, sometimes its getting to serve the servants, missionaries, or other great servants of the Lord's Bride who just need a break. One time it was loading up a hospital worth of equipment and supplies, and watching the Lord put it to work in the poorest country in the hemisphere, where a hospital for children was built, but had no furnishings. We didn't have a clue that God was going to do something like that when we were loading it up, we were simply gathering what He gave us. Other times it has been something as simple as sorting clothes to send to some place in the world where "be content if you have food to eat and clothes to wear" has a much more significant meaning that it usually does here in America. We don't really have the means to get them from here to there, but He always makes the connections! He lets us take part in that which gives Him satisfaction, interacting with His children and meeting their needs. By the way, we are pretty needy ourselves, and He takes care of that as well.

Who is "We"? We are a hand full of folks He has built a bit of a fire in, and we can't quite sit still; just ordinary men and women, boys and girls, with the uncommon bond of Christ. Uncommon in that far too few people know Him. Are we "special"? Well yes we are! We are living proof that God loves the unlovely with a love that is so rich and deep that in spite of all the wonderful things we have experienced, we've only scratched the surface.

So what do we do above all? Encourage you to join Him. Experience Him! If it happens you can join us directly, we would be tickled and we'll have a blast together. If not, go after it, He has things for His Saints to do that will make their lives fuller than anything this world has to offer, and if He doesn't have us doing it here together, talking about it around His Throne later will probably be considered praise. Don't worry about not having any skills, capabilities, or resources. He will do for you like He has done for us. He will cause them to bud out where there was nothing, then make them bloom!
