We did quite a bit of traveling in 2002, with trips to North Carolina, Indiana, and Niagara Falls.  We started the year with a few days in Fairfield Glade (little did I know the Glade would soon become our home).  In February we visited Betsy’s hometown of Big Stone Gap, Virginia and then went to the Great Smoky Mountains.

In March we celebrated George’s 60th birthday.  Betsy made a special occasion of the day with a surprise stay in the Opryland Hotel.  In April we returned to Fall Creek Falls, since that is where we realized we were falling in love.

In October we were able to get away for a weekend in the Smokies.

But the biggest thing that happened during the year was that we found and purchased a new home in Fairfield Glade, Tennessee.
