Not sure how something like this gets physically damaged, but, here it is. And the air conditioning system worked perfectly. How much longer it will continue to work is anybody’s guess, but it was working on the day of the inspection. This particular home was a foreclosure and a divorce had taken place in it. Extensive cosmetic damage was noted throughout the interior of the home. Finding physical damage to a component such as the evaporator coil unit was a surprise.

 

Proposed Changes to Rules and Procedures of the Arkansas Home

Inspector Registration Board

AHIB is still in the process of finalizing the proposed rule changes. They still have a lot of work to do and it will still be some time before they are prepared to publish a final document for public comment. Many of the earlier changes the board has proposed and have gotten inspectors in the state riled up have already been removed. The inspector community spoke and the board listened.


The next scheduled meeting for discussion of the rule changes is set for April 25 at the Attorney General’s office. If that date changes the website will be updated to reflect the change. No date has been set yet for any kind of public hearing. The board has way too much to do before they can even think about setting a date for a public hearing.
