“of, relating to, or providing for
many things at once”

Welcome to Omnibus!

by Kevin Mullins

So what exactly is Omnibus? As Webster’s Dictionary defines it, an adjective that can mean “of, relating to, or providing for many things at once” or “containing or including many items”.

Omnibus also has a special meaning for me as it relates to one of my fondest childhood memories. It was the name of a section in Omni Magazine from the 80’s. For those not familiar, Omni was an amazing combination of science, technology, art, and science fiction. It helped to shape the man that I am today and fueled my interest in both computer science and science fiction. It exposed me to many a great author like Greg Bear and amazing art by the likes of H.R. Giger.

Omni Magazine

An original if not controversial mixture of science fact, fiction, fantasy and the paranormal.”

Given that, what is this Omnibus? The personal website of Kevin Mullins where I hope to post up general thoughts about... well anything and everything. You will also find pictures, blog post, some of my works of fiction, maybe some random artwork or programs made by me too.

So you see, Omnibus was the perfect name for this site.

Anyway, I’ve just started building on the site so there really isn’t much here right now. But keep coming back I hope to add at least a little something every week. Hopefully I’ll be able to channel a little of the “magic” that was Omni Magazine here.
